About the artist: Social and upbeat, Shawn forwards an impressionistic style in his paintings with acrylics being his medium of choice. Art and music are two of his favorite passions, and he enjoys listening to his music during breaks. Elizabeth uses a variety of wide strokes to create great details and texture in her works. She is an avid animal lover and can usually be seen painting cats, dogs, and horses. Always willing to help her classmates and instructors throughout the day, Stacy is happy and at ease in the studio. She loves to paint with large brushes and swift strokes, which contribute to her beautiful abstract paintings. Karen was new to the art scene when she joined the Gallery in 2011, but has since discovered a true passion for creating. She draws a lot of inspiration from her weekly therapeutic riding lessons and love of horses. Laura is a sweet and outgoing member of the Gallery and loves to greet all her friends. She loves to paint patterns and animals, and has a bright smile and a joyous laugh. One of the most involved artists in the gallery, Tim is a prolific painter with a natural sense of touch. He is skilled working with acrylics and often uses a palette knife to create beautiful textures. Theatrical and vivacious, Emily is often found dancing or singing in the middle of the studio, all the while intensely working on her paintings. Always challenging herself to try new techniques and grow as an artist, she enjoys painting from photographs, especially landscapes.
