About the Artists: Tim and Bob form a wonderful partnership, with Tim’s skill in acrylic mediums using a palette knife to create textured abstractions, and Bob’s knack for focusing on tiny details to produce remarkable results, even on the most complex subjects. Often singing and humming as she paints, Candace’s artwork is represented through bright and pastel colors, broad strokes, and scraping techniques. She enjoys subject matter consisting of wildlife, botany, and landscapes. Dan is a meticulous artist and enjoys creating representational art through watercolors, acrylics, and pen work. He is very friendly and is always quick to learn new names and ask thoughtful questions. Jessica attends art class twice a week and works well with acrylics, painting both realistic and abstract landscapes. Using large brushes and a variety of materials to create amazing textures and layering effects, she’s as talented as she is respectful and friendly to others. Karen was new to the art scene when she joined the Gallery in 2011, but has since discovered a true passion for creating. She draws a lot of inspiration from her weekly therapeutic riding lessons and love of horses. Kandi has been with the Friendship Heart Gallery since 2011. She is a very positive presence in the studio, frequently complimenting and encouraging others on their work. Kandi absolutely loves the color purple and rarely paints a piece without it! Glenda comes to class with a smile and loves to socialize with her neighbors. She has slow and steady brush strokes that allow her to capture the greatest detail. She is willing to try any new style or medium and loves to challenge her creativity. One of the most involved artists in the gallery, Tim is a prolific painter with a natural sense of touch. He is skilled working with acrylics and often uses a palette knife to create beautiful textures.
